Training Opportunities:

Excellent learning opportunity with supervision provided by Dr. Rebecca Gras. As a supervisor, Dr. Gras offers an expansive space for supervisees to explore the bounds of their internal emotional landscapes. The space is created with compassion and acceptance allowing for safe exploration and building of vulnerability, which is absolutely critical for growth. Past supervisees have emerged from their year of supervision with Dr. Gras more confident in their ability to sit with a range of emotions and emotional intensities and, as a result, have reached greater depths in treatment with their patients. Supervisees learn that their feelings are not an impediment to the treatment process but a critical tool.

Dr. Rebecca Gras offers treatment to adults utilizing an integrative approach  that is emotionally focused, highly relational, trauma informed, and incorporates somatic responses and interventions. Over the past 15 years Dr. Gras developed her clinical skills through in-depth training and direct clinical care, supervision, and clinical consultation and is highly sought after by patients and clinicians alike. Patients are often individuals who have experienced past trauma and have unresolved/unintegrated experiences from childhood which impact the ways they experience and express their feelings, their sense of self and identity, and relational style.

Culturally conscious care is a priority in Dr. Gras’ practice. The practice serves a diverse group of people, which include many individuals from the  LGBTQI+ communities. Dr. Gras has specialized training and experience supporting individuals moving through medical and social aspects of their gender transitions.

What past sup have said

Past Supervisees Reviews:

From the very beginning of my supervision, Rebecca demonstrated exceptional organization and structure, making the onboarding process clear and supportive. She was transparent about her expectations and the overall supervision process, which set a strong foundation for trust and collaboration.

Rebecca’s clinical skills are exceptionally strong. She brings deep understanding and nuanced insight into patient conceptualizations, schemas, and transference/countertransference issues. These skills translate directly into supervision sessions where she skillfully brainstorms conceptualizations with empathy and multiple perspectives. This ability to hold multiple perspectives has profoundly shaped how I think about my patients. Every session with her expanded my understanding of the therapeutic process.

What stood out most to me was how attuned she was to my own emotional experience in supervision. I’ve never had a supervisor so aware of and responsive to my internal reactions, and she always approached these moments with curiosity and unconditional positive regard. Rebecca was open about her own reactions throughout our work together, modeling authenticity and emotional insight. She wasn’t afraid to address the supervision relationship itself and to hold space for both my growth and discomfort, something that made the experience transformative.

Through her supervision style, she models what a therapeutic relationship should feel like: safe, compassionate, and collaborative. She encouraged me to take risks and try new approaches as a clinician, and I often found myself furiously writing down her insights and advice. Her reflections on even the smallest clinical details, such as how we word an email to a patient, taught me how every interaction can be a meaningful therapeutic intervention.

She is not only a very skilled therapist but also an inspiring supervisor and person. Her presence, care, and nonjudgmental stance made me feel supported and valued. She embodies the qualities of a clinician who genuinely cares for both her patients and her supervisees, and I feel grateful to have learned from her.
