Laura McKinzie, M.S.
Psychological Associate

Meet Laura:
I am a Psychological Associate and advanced doctoral candidate in Loyola University Maryland’s Psy.D. program in Clinical Psychology, where I also earned my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. I have worked with adults and emerging adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, depression, complex trauma, relationship challenges, grief, executive functioning concerns, and interpersonal, identity, and life adjustment difficulties.
My approach is grounded in the belief that therapy should be a collaborative and deeply personalized experience. I take an integrative stance, adapting my work to fit each client’s unique needs, cultural context, and evolving goals. I always strive to meet my clients where they are and tailor our therapeutic work to what is most helpful for each individual.
Creating a collaborative, trusting therapeutic space, where clients can gain clarity, deepen self-understanding, and take meaningful steps toward the changes they want in their lives, is central to the work that I do.

Credentials:
Degree: Masters in Clinical Psychology (M.S.), Bachelors of Arts (B.A.) Focus of study Psychology, Minor in Mental Health Counseling.
Licensure: Psychological Associate working under the supervision of Dr. Rebecca E. Gras, PsyD (Maryland license 05453)
